Bottaio is Located at the north end of Downtown Libertyville on Milwaukee Avenue in a free standing two story, stucco building.  Opened in 1997 Bottaio has become an integral part of the community, serving both residents and businesses with pride and professionalism.

Fresh vegetables, fish and various meats prepared as modern interpretations of traditional dishes from the Abruzzo region of Italy.

Beef flank steak pounded flat stuffed with seasoned bread crumbs and pecorino Romano cheese, baked with onions, carrots and celery in a Montepulciano di Abruzzo red wine, tomato herb sauce, served over a bed of homemade fettuccine.

Fillet of Lake Superior Whitefish baked in our wood burning oven with green onions, sun dried tomatoes and capers in a white wine, garlic, lemon sauce, served with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Chicken breasts sautéed with caramelized onions and figs, in a  gorgonzola cheese, sherry wine sauce,

served with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

 

VITELLO PIZZALOLA ... $27.00

Veal medallion sautéed with black olives, green onions and mushrooms in a

light white wine tomato herb sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella cheese,
